Coordinated Admission Arrangements 2027-28 - Primary Timetable
Date	Primary timetable 2027-2028 – activity
12 September 2026	Information for parents available on the NYC website for North Yorkshire parents. Parents without internet access to contact the LA for information.
12 October 2026	Application round to apply for a primary school place will open
15 January 2027	Closing date for the return of Common Application Forms for primary school places
29 January 2027	Other local authorities will be notified of details of children expressing preferences for schools in their area. Neighbouring LAs to send us details of children in their area who have expressed preferences for schools in North Yorkshire (depending on their timetables).
1 February 2027	The admission authorities of North Yorkshire voluntary aided, foundation and academies and academy trust schools will be sent details of the preferences received for their schools to rank their applications
19 February 2027	Final day for receipt of any change of preference to an application including a change of address.
28 February 2027	Deadline for publication of the admission appeals timetable
1 February to 4 March 2027	Voluntary Aided, Foundation and Trust schools to rank lists of all preferences according to their over subscription criteria for return to the Local Authority no later than 5 March 2027.
5 March 2027	Final date for all ranked lists to be returned to the Local Authority
12 March 2027	First exchange of information sent to other local authorities identifying potential allocations for applicant’s resident outside of North Yorkshire. .
12 March 2027	First exchange of information received from neighboring admission authorities including Academies, Voluntary Aided, Foundation and Trust schools for residents in North Yorkshire area.
26 March 2027	Last date by which Voluntary Aided, Foundation and Academy schools can notify the Local Authority of any increase in the number of places to be allocated on National Offer Day. This is to allow the Local Authority good time to deliver its co-ordination responsibilities effectively. The number of places offered cannot be set below the PAN.
31 March 2027	Final exchange of confirmed allocation information with other authorities.
16 April 2027	National offer day. Allocation information sent to North Yorkshire parents who applied for a school place. Inform schools of final allocation.
04 May 2027 to 31 August 2027	Manual adjustments to the bulk allocation and start communicating those results to other authorities.
June to July 2027	Statutory admission appeal hearings. These dates may vary
31 December 2027	Closure of waiting lists for all community and voluntary controlled schools. For information regarding own admission authority schools please contact the schools direct.
